The construction of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Visalia consisted of street improvements at the corner of Caldwell and Akers - the widening of both Caldwell and Akers, a new median on the south end of Akers, a new traffic signal, water, storm drain, and sewer connections have been made to accommodate the new construction. In addition, new landscaping was added to the street frontage and street lighting was installed.
Completed in August 2011, the new 17,000-square-foot multi-purpose parish center boasts eight classrooms, a kitchen, a sacristy, a conference room, a chapel and a hospitality desk. This will serve as the church site until the design and fundraising is complete to build the new church.
